Plot? Not necessary. Mainstream accessibility? Zero. Funny? Perhaps. Fans had doubts Adult Swim could stretch their 11-minute cult TV success into a feature film. Somehow, they did.
The adventures of Frylock (a floating box of fries with a strong moral compass), Master Shake (a sociopathic milkshake), Meatwad (a childlike ball of meat), and Carl Brutananadilewski (a quick-tempered purveyor of sports and cheese) are hard to follow. The humor is random and not for everyone.
Aqua Teen preaches to the choir, making no effort to change what it is. We applaud them for pleasing their existing fans instead of moving more mainstream. However, this makes it a private party for existing fans only.
